Terms of Use

Using the service

sql2erd is free to use, for personal and commercial work alike, with no account and no registration. By using it you accept these terms.

The diagrams are a reading aid, not an authority

Always review a generated diagram against the schema it came from before relying on it.

sql2erd parses SQL DDL statically — it never connects to a database. It can therefore misread dialect-specific syntax, omit a relationship it failed to recognise, or place tables in a layout that suggests a structure the schema does not actually have. A diagram is an interpretation of the text you pasted, not a verified model of your database.

Do not use it as the sole basis for a migration, a schema change, a security review, an audit, or any decision where being wrong is costly.

Your content

The SQL you paste remains entirely yours. It is processed in your own browser and is never transmitted to us — see the Privacy Policy. We claim no rights over it and, having never received it, could not exercise any.

You are responsible for having the right to use the schemas you paste, including any confidentiality obligations you may owe your employer or clients.

Intellectual property

sql2erd and its source code are © 2026 Ho Hai Nghia, all rights reserved. Using the hosted service is permitted; copying, republishing, or creating derivative works from its code is not.

Running in a browser means the compiled JavaScript and WebAssembly are necessarily delivered to your device. That delivery is a technical requirement of the web and grants no licence over the code.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. There is no guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of defects.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the author is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service — including data loss, lost profits, or decisions made on the basis of a generated diagram.
